Applied AI / LLM Engineer

We are looking for an Applied AI Engineer to build the intelligence layer powering Noema's autonomous agents. You will design systems that reason over entire production codebases, plan multi-step changes, validate outcomes, and learn from feedback over time. This is not prompt engineering. This is building autonomous systems.

What you'll do

• —Build agent planning and reasoning systems
• —Design long-context code understanding pipelines
• —Create tool-using agents that interact with CI, repos, logs, and metrics
• —Implement feedback loops and self-evaluation mechanisms
• —Build automated eval frameworks for autonomous code changes
• —Design memory and retrieval systems
• —Implement safety and policy constraints

What we're looking for

• —Experience shipping LLM-powered systems to production
• —Strong background in agent architectures, retrieval systems, tool use, and evaluation frameworks
• —Strong software engineering fundamentals
• —Comfortable operating in ambiguity

Nice to have

• —Experience with long-context models
• —Experience with reinforcement learning
• —Experience building autonomous systems
